I love Hawaii! You love Hawaii! We all love Hawaii! But you can’t get to the islands on love, you know. You may find plenty of it when you get there, but the fact remains, you have to find a way to get there first. And thanks to economy, most of us need to find the most affordable means possible. You may think finding cheap plane tickets, especially to Hawaii, is an impossible task, but that just is not the case.
It is possible to travel to the islands even if you are a budget. That means getting affordable tickets as well as affordable accommodations when you arrive. You just have to be patient and willing to work for it.
You first have to consider where in Hawaii you are going. Several aspects of this can affect the price you pay for transportation and accommodations. You may want to actually choose a destination with access to one of the larger airlines. They generally have the best, most affordable offers.

When you think about Hawaii – what is the first thing that you generally think about? For me? It is all about the festivals that this beautiful place has. Take the beautiful Merrie Monarch Festival for example, this is one – week long festival that is beautiful to see up close and personal and awesome to attend.
This particular festival has been going on forever it seems and is held in Hilo on the island of Hawaii – the Big Island. Hotels are awesome during this week and I can promise that you are going to fall in love right away with how everything is decked out!
The festivities usually start on Easter Sunday and they culminate with the hula competition events at the Edith Kanak’ole Tennis Stadium. There is a Miss Aloha Hula pageant every year and there is a ton of great food and fantastic friends for you to make.

There are some things that you have absolutely got to do when you visit Hawaii. Actually, there are a lot of must see sites and must do activities when you are on the islands.
Attending an authentic, true blue Polynesian luau is one of those things. You might think that it is just something tourists do but even if it is, so what? A real luau is a beautiful, visually stunning thing to behold.
More importantly, by attending an authentic luau, you will be introduced to delicious Hawaiian food and, even better, rich Hawaiian culture.
Do not simply think of a grass skirt and hula dancing when you think of a luau. This is actually an exotic, culturally rich, South Pacific flavored celebration. What are you celebrating? Style, color, history, dance, and music.

The Haleakala Mountain, located in Maui, is not just one of the biggest mountains in all the world. The mountain is also a dormant volcano. It is chock full of volcanic rock, which can be found inside of its craters as well as right on its slopes.
The mountain is over three thousand feet above sea level and twenty thousand more feet of it can be found under the water. It is a very dense mountain as well.
A park surrounds the Haleakala Mountain. It encompasses over twenty seven thousand acres of land. It is possible for visitors to actually walk up and see the mountain’s crater. It is considered a powerful, once in a lifetime experience.
Biking down the mountain, especially at sunrise, is also a unique experience. Sunset is a beautiful time to do this as well.

Hawaii is one of the places that is jam-packed with all sorts of different resorts and accommodations and what we spoke about in the last blog is just one example of the hotels that they have out there – this is another, however this is one of the coolest hotels in the world! The Best Western Coconut Waikiki Hotel is actually a boutique hotel and they are very popular and in right now.
The cool this about this particular hotel is the décor. Personally, I am a huge, huge fan of the modern look of things and that is exactly what this hotel has incorporated. A lot of the colors, styles and overall feeling are very modern and different and that is something that I love! The amenities for this hotel are also something that is very cool and chic.
A fitness center, breakfast, pool, internet access and free parking are all included and the staff just rocks my socks off!

Volcanoes are a big draw in Hawaii — after all, there are a seemingly endless amount of them spread out over the islands. One of the most popular in terms of sight seeing, however, is the Kilauea Volcano, which is located on the Big Island’s southeastern tip.
What makes this volcano so popular? Well, for one thing, it is one of the most active ones in the entire world. By taking a hike through one of the lushest and most breathtaking rain forests you can hope to find in the United States, you can watch the vents seething steam and new pieces of land getting created right before your eyes. There are ancient petroglyphs of Hawaiian origin, lava tubes you can walk right through, and vistas that will leave you gasping for breath because of their fierce natural beauty.

Waimea Canyon, which is located on Kauai in Hawaii, is one of those places that, when you see a picture of it, you are sure it must have been Photoshopped. Trust us when we tell you that is not the case — Waimea Canyon could not be known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific if it was not truly as breathtaking and awe inspiring as it looks.
Spread out over Kauai’s western region, along with Koke’e State Park, famed writer Mark Twain is reportedly the man charged with giving the canyon its distinction as the Pacific’s answer to the Grand Canyon.
At ten miles long, a mile wide, and more than thirty six hundred feet deep, you can see how it achieved its status. The striated rocks combined with the glorious play of chiaroscuro at any particular time of the day, you can also see why it takes visitors’ breath away.

To be frank, there are quite a few things in Hawaii that you can do that you can not do anywhere else in the world … as well at least and one of them has got to be the cage shark activity. This activity is something that many, many tourists are doing now because they want to get up close and personal with the sharks, however make sure that they are safe. That is where the cage comes in. This particular cage is made with reinforced steel and it is shark-proof.
If you have been a shark-lover for all of your life yet you have been scared to actually try the plunge and get yourself right into the shark’s life via the cage … it is time for you to face your fears and get yourself inside that cage. There are a ton of different companies in Hawaii that offer these services and activities, so you should have no problems at all finding a place that you can climb into a cage with.
Sharks are aggressive creatures by nature, however, when you are in a cage, you do not have to worry about it at all!
