Hawaii, An Introduction
Honolulu is the Capital of the Hawaiian Archipelago, situated in the Pacific Ocean about 3700km (2,300 miles) from the US mainland. Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and Hawaii, are consired the main islands of the achipelago. All islands are of volcanic origin.
On the island of Hawaii the Volcanoes National Park, Ka’u desert, Hamakua Coast, Akaka Falls, are some of the locations that will make you aware of the variety in scenec beauty Hawaii has to offer.

On Oahu places to visit are, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Waikiki and the the Noth Shore(surfing paradise). The island of Maui (land of sun) houses the largest dormant volcano in the world Haleakala. On Kauai, called garden isle, mount Wai’ale’ale is said to be the wettest spot in the world. Molokai has the largest native polulation of all island, it’s said to have the most beautiful beaches of all Hawaii.
Also to visit: Kalaupapa peninsula (father Damien’s lepracy colony) and Kahiwa Falls. Lanai, pineapple island, is where you should go if your looking for a quiet, adventurous holiday.
