We all know that Hawaii is one of those places that everyone in the world loves to go whenever they are looking for a vacation destination to just chill out. However, did you know there are actually different parts of Hawaii that you can go to that are actually incredibly relaxing while other places are all about the nightlife.

Molokai is one of those places that are completely and totally relaxing. There are a bunch of different black sand beaches as well as lowland deserts, rain forests, bogs and fern forests, so if you are a nature enthusiast, you should absolutely take a look at Molokai!

Another thing that you should know about Molokai is the fact that it is actually in the center of the chain of eight main Hawaiian Islands and it is about two million years old. The average temperature is about seventy-five and it is incredible!

Now that we have gone through two of the islands around Hawaii, it is time to tackle the third and that is Molokai! This amazing island is honestly one of the greatest places for those people that want to get back into nature and find their tranquility in the beautiful environment. Molokai holds all sorts of trails, hiking excursions and definitely holds a lot of interest if you are looking for a place to be by yourself or tucked away with a loved one.

When you travel to Molokai, you can hike through the Halawa Valley or take a very memorable mule ride through the Kalaupapa National Historical Park and learn about all sorts of facts about Father Damien or you can simply take a boat out to see one of the world’s tallest sea cliffs. This amazing sea cliff sits about 3,600 feet and it truly is a breathtakingly beautiful sight to see!

So if you are looking to have a little outdoor time and you are the type of person that really wants to stay somewhere where the Hawaiian traditions are all still in play, check out Molokai, you could be very surprised and definitely in a good way!

The Hawaiian Islands are a group of islands that stretches over 1500 miles. It was once known as the Sandwich Islands, in an attempt to honor the Earl of Sandwich, when Captain James Cook discovered the islands in 1778.

Together, there are a total of 132 islands, 8 of those being the “main islands,” while the rest are rather small and mostly uninhabited. Those 8 main Hawaiian Islands are:

•	Hawaii (Also known as the Big Island)
•	Maui
•	Kahoolawe
•	Lanai
•	Molokai
•	Oahu
•	Kauai
•	Nihau

The Hawaiian Islands were formed millions of years ago. Underwater volcanic and tectonic plate activity saw the rise of new landmasses. Today, on the island of Lanai, volcanic magma flow adds new land everyday when the magma reaches the ocean and is hardened by the cooling of it.

The climate in Hawaii is separated by only 2 seasons. From May and October, summer is present, while the remaining months are known as “winter.” With a subtropical climate and an average temperature no greater that 77 degrees F, Hawaii is a great destination any time of the year for tourists. June through November can see hurricanes, so make sure you plan your vacation carefully.

Hawaii is home to some of the largest endangered animal populations in the world. One third of the United States endangered species are located in Hawaii. The Nene Goose, Humpback Whale, the Pacific Green Sea Turtle and the Pueo are all endangered species heavily protected by Hawaii, with the Nene Goose and Humpback being official state animals.

The population of Hawaii is the more diverse than any other populous in the United States. With a population of over 1.3 million, over 20% of that is Native Hawaiian. A strong influence from Japanese, Filipino, Chinese, and Samoan populations are ever present.
