Bringing Your Dog To Hawaii With You: 2
All right, so we have talked about hotels that accept pets, let’s go ahead and talk about some of the laws in Hawaii that you will need to follow in order to bring your dog into the state. One of the first things that you need to know is that Hawaii is actually the only state that is rabies-free and has a pet quarantine law that is designed to keep it that way.
The reason for this is because if any animal is exposed to rabies – the entire state could become infected, so it is absolutely important that you make sure that your animals are vaccinated before you get on the plane with your dog.
All pet owners should plan months in advance if you wish to bring your pet along – as you will have to apply for it and provide the correct documentation.

Thanks for the blog,
I’m looking to bring my dog with me to Hawaii – all the travel arrangements and legalities are under control, but what about when I get there? Most pet travel sites only give information on pet friendly accomodations. I want this to be a vacation for me AND my dog! What fun things can we do together while we’re there?
Any info on restaurants, luaus, beaches, and unique activities would be MUCH appreciated!
